Thomas Smith Obituary

Thomas Smith, 57, passed peacefully in his sleep on April 11, 2022 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.

Tom was born in Cleveland on March 19, 1965 the son of Thomas and Brenda (Pewitt) Smith.

He graduated from North Royalton High School in 1984.  To say Tommy was a good bowler would be an understatement; he competed for 20 years as a member of the PBA (Professional Bowlers Association), he has 23 perfect “300” games and countless first place tournament victories.  Like many great bowlers he was also great at shooting pool; he also loved music of all kinds and loved to tinker in the garage for hours on end.  He is going to be missed by many but especially by his family.

Tom was blessed to have had Gina DeGiglio as his loving companion for 24 years until her passing in 2015.

He is survived by his loving family: his son T. Corey (Nicole) Smith; his granddaughter Charlotte Grace “Charlie” Smith; his sisters, who just adored him: Tonya Smith, with whom he made his home, Tracey (Dave) Nelis, and Angela (Louis) Nemeth; also by Laura (Rick) Jackson-Samson, Gina’s daughter that he loved as his own; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews that just loved their Uncle “Bubba Tommy”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his companion Gina.
