Robert Fenton

Robert A. Fenton, 82, passed away on November 18, 2020 at the Jefferson Healthcare Center.

Bob was born on June 26, 1938 in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of Raymond Fenton and Meribah (Brayman) Fenton-McMillin.

He was a 1956 graduate of Pierpont High School.

Bob married his high school sweetheart, Faye F. Campbell after coming home from the Army; and together they have been blessed with almost 60 years of marriage.

He co-owned the Sinclair Gas Station in Pierpont for several years with Robert Richcreek; he went on to work for Stan Hofka & Son Excavating Inc. and finally retired from Rockwell International Brake Plant.

A longtime resident of Pierpont, they moved to Andover in 1993 when they retired. He was a member of the Eagles Club #4035; For many years he was a member of the Pierpont Presbyterian Church serving as a trustee and elder. He also attended First United Methodist Church in Andover.

Bob enjoyed pony pulling; he was a proud member of the Ashtabula County Basketball Hall of Fame and he loved to play golf. His favorite times in life were those spent with family and friends. He was a very proud and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he will be greatly missed by friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Faye (Campbell) Fenton, and three children: Michael (Tammy) Fenton, Mark (Celeste) Fenton, Lisa (Robert) Jackson; grandchildren: Sarah (Shawn) O'Brien, Adam (Ashley) Fenton, Jillian Jackson (Bobby Truszkowski), Elizabeth Jackson (Anthony Carlisle), Jared (Hilary) Fenton, Nicholas Jackson (Sonya Sprinkle) and 7 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Robert McMillin and his brother Barney

Due to newly unforeseen circumstances related to the COVID Virus a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date and announced in the newspapers.   Private graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pierpont Presbyterian Church.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Jefferson Healthcare for the loving care they had given to Bob and his family.
