Marlene Warner
ASHTABULA – Marlene Warner, 67, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at her home on March 27, 2024.
She was born in Ashtabula on June 9, 1956, the daughter of Garnest and Maxine (Johnson) Hall. Marlene was 1 of 10 children born to Garnest and Maxine and she always felt so very blessed to be part of such a big family with such great parents.
Marlene’s kind and tender heart led her to a 35-year career as a nurse’s aide; she worked the majority of her career at Carrington Park and Rae-Ann Nursing Homes.
She enjoyed dancing and country music, gambling, and the casinos, going on motorcycle rides; she thoroughly enjoyed it when her son would play his guitar for her and sing her a song. She loved her family with all her heart and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her loving family: her son Paul “Bubby” Hall; several grand and great-grandchildren; her siblings: Heastrine Karsikas, Garnest (Lynda) Hall, Ronald (Carolyn) Hall, Vernon Hall, Doreen (Edmond) Ritchie, Charlene Daye, Annleen (John) Noble; her loving companion Ronald Santillo; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Pauline Parsons and Jacqualine White.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at Czup Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Calling hours will be from 11:00-12:00 with the funeral service starting at 12:00. Burial will follow in Saybrook Township Cemetery.
