Linda Humphreys Obituary

Linda L. Humphreys

CONNEAUT - Linda L. Humphreys, 73, passed away May 23, 2020 at Lake Pointe Nursing Center.

She was born in Conneaut on March 30, 1947 the daughter of Natalias "Ernest" and Etta (Arbogast) Mecci, Sr.

She graduated from Conneaut High School in 1965. Linda worked many years at Conneaut Leather Company and Allied Resin.

Linda was a lifelong Conneaut resident.  She lived for any type of  family gatherings; she was very close with her siblings and just loved visiting with them and just catching up with them; she enjoyed sitting in her back yard just watching all the wildlife, especially the deer, racoons, and rabbits.  Even when Linda got sick she always put others first and never complained about her own problems.  Linda was the most kind and loving caregiver; when her husband George was sick she give him them most outstanding care when he was going through his liver transplant.  Linda felt like the luckiest women alive to have had George as her husband, she married her best friend, the love of her life and her soulmate on June 18, 1983.  She missed him terrible every day after his death up until her own passing.  She was never affraid or sad to die because she knew she would be reunited with George once again.

She is survived by her daughter Michelle (Brian) Humphrey; her son David (Vanessa) Humphrey and her son Thomas J. Morano; her grandchildren: Heather, Nevaeh and Ivy; her siblings: Vincent Mecci, Patsy (Greg) Palma and Tracy (Frank) Miller; her nieces and nephews she loved dearly: Kelsey "Her Special One" Palma, Nathan (Stephanie) Stoltz, Joey Miller and Jared (Loretta) Carrier and her great-nieces and nephews: Kira, Jasmine, Alyssa and Zyana as well of many of George's family and in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George Humphreys ( who died on August 19. 2012); her daughter Cynthia Morano; her granddaughter Mykala Humphrey; and her brother Ernie Mecci, Jr.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Ashtabula APL
